About the Book

Eirik Nygaard has two bodies and one life.

In one, he is an offshore engineer, a partner, and a father.

In the other, he is a wolf.

The second body gives him another world. He can smell rain before it falls, read movement in water and air, cross rough ground on four legs, and notice traces a human body would miss.

Eirik doesn’t endure being different.

He enjoys it.

Then a structural failure tears through a North Sea service hub.

Workers are trapped. Eirik changes, and his second body helps the rescue team find what ordinary human senses may miss.

The rescue works.

The second body is another way to move, sense, work, play, and live.

At home, his son has a question of his own: Will I have a second body someday?

A near-future science fiction novel about having another body, another set of senses, and another way to experience the world.
